Madison & Jonny’s Badass Wedding Registry
Make our Dog Dreams come true!
If you know us, you know we love dogs. A lot.
Four and a half years ago, we adopted our beloved dog Alabama, who found her forever home with us and in turn, forever changed our lives. We can't think of a better way to honor our own "Fiesta Forever" than by giving other dogs the chance to find their own forever families. In lieu of traditional wedding gifts, we’re teaming up with the volunteers who saved Alabama’s life - Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue – to sponsor a special rescue mission in honor of our wedding. Every gift you make through the "registry" below will go towards rescuing dogs and helping them find their forever families.
In 2012, we met a beautiful but frazzled blonde dog with brightly painted toenails on a sidewalk in Brooklyn. She escaped from death row in an Alabama shelter thanks to a team of volunteers from Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue who rescued her and brought her all the way to NYC. We adopted her and named her Alabama to honor her Southern roots. She taught us the value of unconditional love and patience and has brought us closer than we thought humanly possible. Four and a half years later – we can't imagine our family without her. You can follow Alabama's story on her very own Instagram account: @dogdreams.
How It Works
The number of loving, adoptable dogs in need of rescue in the South is staggering. With no spay/neuter laws on the books, shelters overflowing, and very few local adoptions, many dogs are left with euthanasia as their only option. Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue steps in and gives these pups a second chance. Our goal is to rescue at least 10 dogs in honor of our wedding! Every gift you make will help the team at Badass save dogs from overpopulated shelters in Alabama and Georgia. Your donation will help the Badass team pull pooches from the shelter, provide medical care to the ones in need, and transport them all the way up to Brooklyn where they'll be placed with loving foster parents while they await their forever homes.
In order to reach our goal of rescuing 10 dogs by the time of our wedding, we ask that you try your dog-gone best to make your gift by May 1st.

THANK YOU for making so many dogs' dreams come true!
Follow our rescue mission's progress on @dogdreams as we get closer to the date of our Fiesta Forever.
Your gift will literally save a dog’s life – this is the average cost of rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming a single dog, all in. You can make this a group gift! Team up with friends or family to chip in to save a dog. Click the Make a Custom Gift button at the bottom of the page, and add a note that you're teaming up with others (please include everyone’s names) to save a pooch.
Help a rescued dog get much-needed medical care, from heartworm medication to special surgery. Heartworm is an epidemic for dogs in the South – it can be fatal but is completely curable. Special surgeries are sometimes necessary, most commonly for dogs who have been hit by cars and have healed improperly. Your gift will help cover pooches’ treatment and get them one step closer to finding their forever home.
Give the gift of “southern comfort” to a pup in need! After one of our rescued dogs receives medical treatment, we place them in special medical boarding to aid their recovery process. Help our neediest pups live like royalty during their first days of rehab!
All funds go straight to BBAR, an official 501(c)(3) non-profit, for this rescue mission. Every cent is tax-deductible.
Please note that no goods or services are being purchased.

About Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue
Since 2011, Badass has rescued over 1,700 dogs from high-kill shelters in the South. BBAR focuses on loving, adoptable dogs and pays extra attention to those no one else wants – older dogs and those who are injured or sick, and would otherwise surely be euthanized. High-kill shelters in the South are an epidemic and Badass does what they can, powered by a volunteer staff of 75 and funded by hundreds of Badass humans like you.
