Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue

Saving badass dogs from idiot humans.

Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all-breed dog rescue composed of a network of fosters and volunteers who work together to rescue sweet, loving, adoptable dogs from high kill, rural shelters in the southern U.S. states and get them adopted into wonderful forever homes.

How many hours? Where will the pet be when you are away?
We often have foster dogs who have medical issues that require extra attention, administering medication, etc. Is this something you are prepared to deal with, and if so, what experience do you have? *
About Your Home
Housing *
Please be prepared to provide proof of landlord approval
* You do not need an outdoor space to foster a Badass dog.
Do you have screens in your windows? *
Do you have roommates? (Please note that only co-fosters who attend training and sign a foster contract are able to walk or handle a foster dog. Other roommates who will not be sharing responsibility for caring for the dog do not need to attend training or sign the contract, but they do need to be present for the home visit.) *
Roommates are defined as members of the household that live with you that are not related to you.
Are all the members of your household in agreement about fostering a dog? *
If so, what are their names and ages? (Please note that we do not accept fosters with children under the age of 6.)
Do you have an area to quarantine the pet from other animals if necessary?
A Few Questions
About Training your dog
Ie: housetraining, separation anxiety, socialization, fear, adjustments to other pets (and other pets’ adjustment to the new foster dog).
i.e.: "marking in the house," separation anxiety or fearfulness with or without a veterinarian or behaviorist's assistance?
Timing and other Fosters
Are you currently fostering for another rescue organization? ** *
Badass dogs cannot be fostered at the same time as dogs from other organizations.**
If approved, how long are you able to commit to fostering with Badass for? (please note, we prefer that our fosters make a 6-month commitment to the program.) *
Do you know of any upcoming commitments that would prevent you from fostering? (Travel, events, etc.) *
Agreements
Do you agree to a Badass representative conducting a home visit? *
Do you agree to care for the animal in a humane manner and to be responsible for the animal’s needs including supplying adequate food, water, shelter, regularly scheduled walks, attention and medical care. *
Medical care to be approved and paid by Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue
Do you agree that the animal will not be allowed outside without proper supervision? *
When taking the animal outdoors do you agree that the animal will wear proper identification (name tag on collar), secure harness and will be kept on a leash? *
I agree to attend a foster orientation and training session before being approved and taking home my first foster dog. *
At anytime, Badass reserves the right to remove fosters from our fostering program for any reason. *
